me and my friends would love co-op. this is a very good game and i would like to explore it with my friends.

This is because they would have to go back and change the code on almost every object, due to the fact that items can not be used my different people. Right now, if co-op were added in the current state of the game, there would be too many bugs for the devs to fix. One thing that would probably happen would be 2 players being able to get into the seamoth, due to it having no code to prevent that. Remember, computers and games can do no more than they are told to do. (Unless they are AI :) )

Actually in 2014, the devs stated there would be multiplayer. Haven't found much past it, but 5th link in google (subnautica multiplayer) shows a post to a dev stating it will have it. Any idea if that's been changed?

the subnautica devs are possibly going to add a time capsule (testing the waters for multiplayer) they want to see how people act with it before they think of completly adding multiplayer ((spaculations)
