It's a male anglerfish I believe
But what is that weird root thing comin' out of it
The anglerfish is the female, the root is the male
Anglerfish reproduce via attaching the male to the bottom of the female, and slowly dying of starvation before becoming part of the female and basically growing into a wierd sentient feeler vine
That's so...weird
