Also the Sea Emperor is not a female, nor is it a male. The Fauna on 4546B only have one gender that goes unnamed. This gender can lay eggs and fertilize them, despite this, most of them do not reproduce asexually.

True! And just because THIS example is female doesn't mean they all are. I suppose this one speaks in a female voice because that's what she thinks will comfort Ryley? After all she does depend on him to release her young.

Since her species is telepathic like the precursors, I expect she would estimate what would be a comforting voice to Ryley. And speaking as someone who has played as Ryley, he NEEDS to be comforted - the crater's SCARY!
