You also need a propulsion cannon and some fire extinguishers for the Aurora. You can't build a seabase inside the hull, even where there's room, but you can place an Outdoor Growbed to feed yourself while you're in there.

Inside the Aurora isn't all that dangerous, at least once you get past the scavenger party in the breach area, and there's lots of useful fragments and loot in there.

I suggest getting the sonar upgrade on your seamoth aswell to be able to see and avoid the reaper at the front of the aurora

Okay thanks but sunbeam showed up and EXPLODED. I also i have a base near the kelp forest and the place with red grass. I have a seaglide now too.

Also as I was trying to get to the place they were going to land at i saw something horrifying in the water so i swam away. Im going to try to find what it is here.

The closest thing i could find was this..but it doesnt look like what i saw. it says its called the boneshark but what i saw was black.

Yeah... that giant gun that blew up Sunbeam is a pretty big plot point.

And there are at least 2 things that the horrifying thing might be- Warper or Reaper.

The only black monster I know of in the game is Sandsharks. Those look really mean, but they're actually a joke.

Might also have just been a poor view of a Boneshark, though i wouldn't describe those as horrifying.

Btw you can get to the island (either one) quite safely by just skimming the surface, hardly any predators there and nothing that can catch you on a Seaglide.
