I know a lot of people complain about Below Zero so why don't we discuss ways it could've been better? How would you rewrite the story? What would you change about the environment? What creatures would you add? What mechanics would you implement?

Bigger map, more leviathans, more deeper, and less alien boy in head, grammar intentional
@Masterpr236 I hear a lotta complaints about Al-An, I think he was a cool addition, however he definitely was under utilized, I agree the map needed to be bigger, and deeper areas too and of course more dangerous creatures, the big boys we got were cool but they didn't scratch the itch enough
I like him too it's just the only problem is that I feel like he talks too much and that makes it feel like your less alone
I think his constant chatter would've been better had Sam still been alive in the story and she was instead just going "omg my sister's going nuts." but yeah I get what you mean, while I find no longer being alone a nice touch, I feel like Al-an could've been more sociable, like cracking jokes only his kind would really get, stuff like that
That I can also agree if it was one of those two things then I would have liked him more
Yeah, I personally would've liked him to be more friendly, I definitely think that would've enhanced the experience

Bigger and spookier map, and more space so we can have a cyclops again or something like it. Also I want more purpose to the arctic spires.
Replace the Chelicerate model. The thing does not have the sinister majesty that the Reaper did, it just looks like a big bug that's gotten too close.
Replace the craftable Kharaa Cure with a stashed dispenser of imported Enzyme 42 globs. Being able to craft it out of common land plants cheapens the whole "struggle for the cure" storyline, even if you're unlikely to ever use the recipe.
Give Sam a storyline that doesn't basically make her a misguided terrorist.
Do something with the Sea Emperors. A sentient and friendly, and telepathic at that, leviathan species roaming the planet should have had a bigger impact on the story. Especially since a major driver of Subnautica 1 was that the Architects couldn't hear Sea Emperor telepathy and humans can, but now there's an Architect living in a human brain.
Yeah I agree with pretty much all that
What do you think?
