So if I put out 12 spotlights around my base I will be using 144 energy per minute just to run them good thing I have 8 thermal plants at 95°c or above.
Why the heck did you put 12 spotlights? Did you build a base in the void or something? I also suggest the Nuclear Reactor. You can fit 4 in a Large Room and 1 in a Multipurpose Room. They produce 250 energy per minute each. the fuel is non-renewable, but they also last for 20,000 energy so you will pretty much never need to replace them.
