I think so otherwise getting resources would become impossible late game and good luck for the base

Ok, good. The base thing, in case you’re wondering, is constructing a massive cross-map base, that makes a base in every single biome into one base. It’s a project that i’m gonna start in the future once I have a working PC again, because I don’t think a console can handle it.

In older versions of the game, resources did not respawn unless you manually used console cheats to "reboot" the resources.

I've found items do not respawn for me, personally, and It'd be a good idea to check yourself. Some items do seem to spawn naturally though, such as stalker scrap.

A project like this would be infinitely better in creative (In terms of how painful it will be) but if you want to, sure.

I know it would be better in creative, and painful in survival. But, I want the bragging rights of making a huge, map wide base in survival (or maybe hardcore?). It’ll definitely take months to do, but I feel like the end result will be worth it.

Are you planning on recording it in some way?

Yes. When I build my PC I’m gonna be putting a capture card in it, so there’s no reason not to. I’m just worried about the space it’ll take up, but if I set it to like 6 fps (so I speed it up 10x) or heck maybe even 1 fps (so I speed it up 60x) it shouldn’t be a large issue.
