Speaking of the end, Subnautica has one of the best endings I’ve seen in a game (or even a movie). Idk why, there’s just something about it.

The soundtrack

You get this climactic scene, you finish fixing the rocket yourself, there's a second of drama with the asteroid belt, then the emporer speech before being completely subverted with Alterra saying "You've been mucking about in a national park, pay up"

I think it’s because of the rocket countdown and the song that plays during the takeoff. It’s such a good ending
