You are making pretty extreme assumptions. I mean, there are places on earth now that are affected by Nuclear radiation where you need a suit, and there are species on earth now that are going extinct, yet we have no real need to leave the entire planet, nor is there any proof that it was destroyed.

I don't see the point in these massive assumptions that we as a species are able to blow up a planet in the near future.

I know this probably makes me sound like a massive geek but in the description for the rad suit it says 'A necessary precaution in a post-MAD world. ' Which could indicate Earth is destroyed. (MAD stands for mutually assured destruction which is basically saying the world is destroyed) so what are yall's thoughts?

Well, A: A post-MAD world doesn't mean the world is destroyed, it could simply mean the world has moved past the fear of MAD, because it is at peace under Alterra.
