I usually make my base on the slopes above the deepest Degasi sea base.

In the lost river because there SO many materials there

I think the Lost River's Tree cove is the best

• Easy access to the Lava Zone, allowing you to get in and out quickly

• No harmful creatures, also the only area in the Lost River where the river doesn't hurt you

• Full of materials

• Close to the Ghost Leviathans (aka the best creatures in the game) but far enough so they can't hurt you

• It's blue
