Alien Thermal Plant

Before the Alien Thermal Plant..

So I'm curious has anyone ever reached the Alien Thermal Plant without a PRAWN suit or Cyclops?

I have, using just the Seamoth and Seaglide, call me crazy but I did it on Hardcore Mode. It wasn't intentional mind you, I just wanted to get the blueprints for Ion Batteries early and it just so happened I was doing Hardcore mode at that time.

I did it because if you ask me they are added a bit too late in the game. I mean usually you reach the Alien Thermal Plant right before building the Neptune rocket. So there is no real need to swap all your regular batteries and cells for ion ones at that point.

But I digress has anyone done that too?

Player: ok…I’m picking up a signature… into the caves… Jellyshroom?

Riley: what is Jelly-

*The Cuddlefish in the Return story Notices something and makes a signal that something is there*

Player: wow… You see something? Wait… is that…

Riley: CRASHFISH

Player: no… much worse…

*the player throws a hardened blade at the crashfish that looks different than normal and catches it as the knife ascends*

Player: that’s good… now the Cyclops is entering the lava zone, get ready… it’s about to get hot…

*5 minutes later*

Player: That took long to get there

Cyclops: Captain, detecting Energy signatures, locking Torpedoes

Player: wow… it can use Seamoth Torpedoes… And Prawn if they are docked

Player (again): Cylops, FIRE TORPEDOES

Cyclops: Firing Torpedoes

*the thermal plant explodes and they escape the Giant explosion*

Riley, the player, and the Cuddlefish that is making a noise that sound like it: Phew

Riley: so we are back?

Player: yeah… hope I can find one of my bases, and NOT see them wasted like the Degasi, Oh and I forgot…

*Player throws a Cuddlefish into the water*

Riley: HOW LONG DID YOU HAVE THAT?

Player: Doesnt… Matter

Riley: ok… but I’m confused

Player: let’s just focus on the main objective… shutting down the thermal plant… because is I remember anything it’s that you can still shut it down, like the gun…

Riley: ok, how do we do this because last time i was here my PDA never said how

Player: I got the way to shut it down… by destroying it, we have some torpedos for a seamoth right?

Riley: yeah

*Riley throws a highly explosive torpedo at Player, as the Player catches it*

Player: There are 5, that’s good

Riley: ok… time to destroy the “plant”

Player: we’re going with the cyclops first… and apparently the Seamoth can’t stand the depth, but who cares? Just use a repair tool…

Riley: yeah…

I get flung through the lava castle to ATP

I want to know what direction the alien thermal plant entrance (below) is. For example north, or southeast, etc.
