Architect Bases

If a Subnautica 3 ever becomes a thing, I would love to see it from the perspective of a precursor/architect during the Khaara outbreak or before the outbreak. A cool idea would be having to build all the factories and caches leading to the shutdown of the program. Or maybe even getting to play as Al-an all the way until he uploaded himself to the computer. We could see the ancient leviathans!

Whenever I enter an Architect/precursor/Almanac structure, the frame rate is halved.

This was carried over to BZ as well.

What causes this? Aren’t buildings generated in the same manner as other world geo?

I play on Switch (console), so that’s probably a huge factor.

Subnautica is usually much less fun the second time around right? You've already seen it all, done it all.

My suggestion is, what if there was a different story-line the second time you played? A whole new experience.

After you finish the game once, you could choose to begin the game in a different biome, and the story changes depending on the one you choose.

You might not have to repair the aurora, you might hail a ship other than the sunbeam, with a different, even violent, reaction. The kharaa might have been released by the precursors or occurred after them.

Ideas wanted.
