I already have a theory that the lost river was a massive trench, but I wanna see what y'all think
I'm thinking about making a video about it, but if you have seen a video on this, please link it.
Panel 1: *Riley is swimming past a reefback with a seaglide, a shadow is seen up ahead* PDA: Scans indicate Humanoid figure nearby. Proceed with caution.
Panel 2: *A strange swimmer is looking at a device when she notices Riley*
Panel 3: *The swimmer waves at Riley* PDA: specimen appears female and friendly, infection not detected.
Panel 4: *swimmer says something unintelligible* PDA: Cannot translate, scan advised.
Learn about Kika in my previous post: https://subnautica.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000113016
(forgive the lopsided pic, I can't fix it)
To translate my shitty writing:
Kika, the last Precursor
Age: 2,000 years old
Sex: Female
Position: princess/scientist
Kika is the only one that received the cure of the Kharaa disease but it was too late for her kind, she used it on herself and has been trying to cure the planet before she reproduces.
Story: Kika is the precursors' ruler and a brilliant scientist. Her people were looking for a cure for the Kharaa when they found the Sea Emperor, she was the only one the Sea Emperor trusted at that time due to her kindness and she was willingly given Enzyme 42, she tried to share it but the bacterium killed the others before she could, so she used it on herself. Kika can't communicate with the emperor so she doesn't know what she wants and is trying to figure it out when she runs into Riley who can communicate with the emperor. Kika is able to reproduce asexually so she can restart the precursor race, however, she needs the bacterium gone before she can do so.
If a Subnautica 3 ever becomes a thing, I would love to see it from the perspective of a precursor/architect during the Khaara outbreak or before the outbreak. A cool idea would be having to build all the factories and caches leading to the shutdown of the program. Or maybe even getting to play as Al-an all the way until he uploaded himself to the computer. We could see the ancient leviathans!

I just came from below zero wiki. And I have a question. Are the architects and the precursers the same or different races working on the same bacterium?
I was watching a theory video when this came to my head. Is it possible that the flesh parts of the Warpers are what the Precursors used to look like? Look at Al-Ans head and then the Warpers head. They have a similar shape. Also notice how there is nothing else on Planet 4546B that looks remotely like the Warpers. Maybe its because the species that are used to make them died out. What other intelligent species do we know has died out? The Precursors.
Where are my old timers at!?! @TastyDinosaurs1290 @Tarentule @DaniLikesDinos @SirNerdThe3rd and all the rest that I can't remember how to spell lol. Its been way too long✊
Did anybody else come to absolutely despise the precursors? Let’s look at what we know about them:
They came to the planet seeking a cure for a disease that originated elsewhere.
They built a bunch of devices, trapped a lot of creatures, and trained peepers to do their bidding.
They stole an egg from a leviathan (presumably a Sea Dragon), which caused it to attack and destroy their base, killing itself in the process.
That attack resulted in releasing their deadly disease on the entire planet and infected everything that lived there.
They genetically enhanced a creature to attack and kill any other creature that was infected with the disease.
When they couldn’t find a cure they gave up and left the planet infected with the disease they brought.
As they were abandoning their facilities they killed most of the creatures they had imprisoned, the notable exception being the ones trapped for centuries in the aquarium at the Primary Containment Facility.
They set up a massive planetary defense weapon that destroyed any ship that entered the planet’s orbit without even so much as a warning that the planet was under quarantine.
With everything they left in place, it was pure luck that Ryley was even alive long enough to cure the disease they brought to the planet. The precursors did everything imaginable to prevent that from happening.
Just a thought about the Precursor race. Everything they built was big. Not just the facilities themselves, but the hallways inside them. I can enter with my Prawn Suit and walk everywhere I want to, only getting out to scan or insert a tablet. I’m thinking that either they had their own mech suits, or maybe they were quite large.
Whenever I go to the quarantine enforcement platform, I get stuck in-between a wall and the barrier cus it won’t load, I just wanna get reduced by the sunbeam! What do I do?
Put this skeleton back together, then give it the alien robot texture, and you have the mech leviathan. It guards a facility and is controlled by the precursors.
At least from what I make out from their design, they don’t have fins, instead they have legs. Most of Planet 4546B is water, with the Void making up a majority of the planet. This would be a problem for them.
Obviously, there are portals they were able to use to get to places such as other bases. But how did they build their stuff in the first place? Maybe they used to have fins and stuff, and after they built their bases that were not filled with water, they somehow evolved legs or genetically modify themselves in a way they were able to adapt in it?
By the way, I don’t know if there is even canon information on this somewhere, so I might’ve written this for no reason, or I’m just straight up dumb, sorry.

What would you consider the halfway point in the story?
I would say when you go to the disease research facility is about halfway. What do you think?
