Mushroom Forest

The Snapjaw leviathan (working name, taking suggestions) is a large, omnivorous, leviathan class lifeform that resides in the mushroom forests.

1. Diet:

Despite it’s carnivorous appearance, it seems to only consume small creatures to compliment its main diet of the large mushrooms that grow in the mushroom forests.

2. Jaws:

It uses it snapping turtle-like jaws to snip off pieces of the mushrooms to eat. They can also be used for defense in cases of other leviathan encounters.

3. Hard exoskeleton:

The Snapjaw leviathan possesses hardened plating that covers its topside. This material is unusually bendable and allows the creature to move freely. It’s possesses no protection on its underbelly.

4. Intelligence:

This creature seems to exhibit som sort of basic intelligence, similar to dolphins from earth used to have. It will get up close to any new creatures it encounters and will sometimes attempt to bite them. This does not seem to be out of hunger but mere curiosity.

5. Evolutionary relations:

The Snapjaw leviathan shares many characteristics with the Ice Worm leviathan of Sector 0. They may have shared a common ancestor.

Assessment: Poses minimal danger, approach with caution.

So when we wandered into the mushroom forest and saw a bone shark and what we thought was a reaper leviathan while looking for a lifepod we got pretty scared

After beating below zero, should I try to make another survival world in Subnautica but I can only build a base in the Mushroom Forest or something like that?

1. Do they spawn in creative?

2. Can you craft one or do you just have to find em or use the one in the neptune rocket?

3. What items get removed from the time capsules? Ik some stuff do like hatching enzymes and stuff but if anyone has a list that'd be greatly appriciated

4. I know the capsules spawn in the Blood Kelp Zone, Bulb Zone, Crash Zone, Dunes, Grand Reef, Grassy Plateaus, Mountains, Mushroom Forest, Sparse Reef, and Deep Sparse Reef and they're more common in grassy areas but where have y'all found one?

The Cove TreeOne of the coolest places in the game! Lots of materials, and close to the lava zone. No predators and a great view of the cove tree. is very deep, so you need a cyclops or prawn to get there.

The Floating IslandThe floating island has no predators. It provides a nice place to build in, but has few materials so you have to bring your own. Close to Degasi bases and has lots of trees for food.

Jellyshroom CavesWith lots of loot for you to build with, and an amazing view, this is a grat place. Add on a place for thermal power generators and you have a great base. watch out for crabsnakes!

Kelp ForrestGreat for loot and a cool view. Does have stalkers to bite you in the butt. Good place to charge up with solar power :)

Mushroom ForrestBuilding in the trees is very cool. It also allows you to get solar power easily! Is close to a warp gate as well to use. Great view!

So far i have built in the safe shallows, grassy plateaus, kelp forest, mountains, bulb zone, mushroom forest, floating island, grand reef, jellyshroom cave, deep grand reef, sea treaders path, ILZ and ALZ, blood kelp zone, and the lost river. I've built a LOT of bases. Oh yeah and the void

Who here has found a reaper right above the mushroom forest near the dunes?

So, you need more lithium? Don't worry, I've got you covered. Pre-Prawn suit, you should build a scanner room in the northwestern mushroom forest and scan for lithium. You'll find it everywhere. After you get a prawn suit with a drill arm and maybe a grappling arm too, go down to the Jellyshroom Cave and look for large lithium deposits. If you can't find any, go to the Lost River for large lithium deposits.

Idk wich one is wich

So I was riding my prawn suit. I happened to be right over the PCF when I fell through the floor. I landed in the aquarium. What’s funny is it doesn’t activate the cutscene with the Sea Emporer Levithan until you step on the platform. Now I’m stuck because the door isn’t open. How do I get out?

EDIT: I found a fun solution. I could use the portal inside of the aquarium to go to the top of the moonpool. Apparently entering a forcefield from the back will automatically disable it. If you go through a loading zone, however, it will come back. I placed the blue tablet I had in my inventory on the pedestal to keep it from shutting. Since I had my prawn suit, I could drill the regenerating ion cubes. I placed them in the portals to escape. I had a base in the mushroom forest that was really close (like 180m away) from the portal so now I go there to get to the PCF. It took a few hours.

While exploring the Northwestern Mushroom Forest, I encountered a Warper. It warped me once, and after it did, a strange glowing projection flickered above my seaglide. It looks to possibly be a map of the area, but after reading through the Warper’s page, I’ve spotted nothing about this. Does anyone know what this is or what causes it?

What are everyone's favorite biomes? I'm partial to the Grassy Plateaus since that's where my base is set up, but I also really like the Mushroom Forests (northwestern in particular) because they're pretty and you don't have to worry about many predators.

I was thinking that it would be good to have a decent full-fledged base every single biome so I was thinking of building one in every single bio each one will have one scanner room 2 multipurpose room And a a moon pool what do you think the order should be so far I have one in the safe shallows and one in the sea traders path I’m pretty sure the next one is going to be in the blood kelp treanch

I was looking for lithium for my cyclops and on the wiki it said that the large deposits can be found in the mountains the caves of the island with the gun and in the lost river. As you can see I found a lithium deposit in the mushroom forest (right next to it), could someone please write it in the wiki?

Make a base in the mushroom forest is a good idea or a bad idea?
