Scanner (Subnautica)

Player: hey, we have coordinates for the exit, it’s close to the gun though… but it looks deactivated, going in now…

*Riley goes to the landing site, along with the player arriving to noticed it keep activating itself*

Player: wait a minute… it tha- no, No, NO, NO!

Riley: ITS CHARGING UP

Player: SPEED BOOST ACTIVE, DODGE THE BE-

*the ship gets shot down by the Quarantine Enforcement Platform, Almost killing everybody on board*

Player, without Comms active: activate emergency power, land the ship!

*the ship lands in the shallows luckily saving most of the people*

Riley: phew,

Player: it’s flooding…

*the ship gets repaired but can’t get out*

*the player does a self scan*

PDA: self scan complete, vital signs normal, Quarantine Enforcement Platform has been reactivated after numerous attempts to turn it off, although deactivated, somebody has tried to turn it off, and turned it back on, you should be able to disable it, because of being cured twice of Kharaa

Player: that was long… anyway let’s deactivate it (part… idk comes out in a few hours, when the sun rises, ITS NIGHT HERE

Found this one in the PRAWN bay of the Aurora

I was in the lost river around the big skull with the ghost leviathan swimming around, so I tried to dodge it, but I saw that it was blocked in the skull. I then thought it was my chance to scan it, so I went in the water, I approached the leviathan, and I tried to scan it, but I couldn’t do it. I was on him, but it didn’t work. Do we have to aim the head with the scanner ?

So apparently a lot of people are having issues with the "Reginald" fish finding their name stupid. However, the name is most likely intentional, only apparently no one got to read the databank entry for the scanner, which reads:

Organism Analysis: The scanner will attempt to match scanned organisms against the onboard database. If no match is found then the species will be assigned an easy-to-remember name, and a new databank entry will be created. Your PDA's AI will also attempt to synthesize theories on behavioral tendencies and evolutionary origins where possible, as well as deliver assessments on how best to approach them.

So yeah the silly name probably stems from this, thus it's not stupid at all but actually the developers putting attention to details.

Someone can tell me where can I scan the Quilted double bed ? Because in my adventure I don’t find it and I play in Creative and it’s available. Where can I find it ???
