You likely saw a ghost leviathan. They now spawn in the void (a new feature).

5.I'll forgive the use of u, but it's still bad grammar.
6.WHAT THE HELL IS going down down???? .
7.No full stops.
Buzz off kid.
Whoever said the Ghost Leviathan was going to be in the void, you are CORRECT.
Appearently it was on Discord, but the Ghosts in the Lost River are to be babies born of the ghsot tree who grow older and then swim out into the void. This will appearently be the Dev's realistic map barrier.
Now all they need to do is make the dropoff more realistic.
That makes no sense in the lore though.
I believe the ghost leviathan is actually for the Lost River.
Reapers I believe are planned to be added to the Void in order to prevent players from leaving the map. I do hope that, when that does happen, they extend the void area so that it contains a gradual dropoff of land that you're not intended to cross (it would get lower fairly rapidly until it eventually would be too deep for any of the existing machines to go past; it would go beyond 1700 meters).
What was your HP at (not seamoth, but you). Also, did your entire screen go all white and whirly?
Considering your Seamoth lived but you died, it was either:
1. A Reaper that killed you through a bug.
2. A Warper , which can kill you through your vehicle (you can be in the Seamoth but still get damaged). This would explain why it made a weird noise and was away from any landmark you recognized.
3. A Crabsquid that EMPed you, which might have caused you to exit vehicle and collide with yourself.
Have you compared the sound you heard with sounds in-game? It might be the easiest way of finding your killer.
Edit: Have you returned to the Seamoth yet? I'd like to know what biome this was in.
What build of the game do you have (experiemental or core?)
The Precursor are trying to find a cure for the disease. Like other people said, the precursor and the warpers are like helping each other. So I'm trying to say that...since the Precursor didn't want the disease to spread, they turned all warpers into syborg(or something else) so that warpers can kill the Aurora survivors. They knew that the survivors are trying leave. That is just my thought.
BTW this game is amazing. It has a lot of mysteries. Which I love. I hope there is two endings. One is happy or you die. (Because the game is based on your choices)
Warpers indescriminantly hunt for infected creatures.
The virus is waterbourne (spreads in the water, that's why it forms cysts, so it can be put out more).
Warpers are Precursor defense units. It is unknown if they are completely created or related at all to Precursor biology.
How would an island fly though? Flight is far harder to achieve than buoyancy.
Chances are that the Precursors have technology capable of safely mutating people into other creatures without causing them harm.
Sweet, I hope it gets considered. Thanks for the shoutout btw, it's much appreciated.
I watch it for updates, I always check notifications.
Depending on what they do with it, it might actually be hard. For example, if perhaps there were airpockets trapped down there which would flow out slowly as small bubbles.
You would just use multiple sprites (visual effects) for the bubbles at different pressures. Bubbles already exist, as there are purple brain corals.
A giant cave, filled with a huge airbubble that is constantly regenerated by a huge amount of Purple Brain Coral, possibly a slightly different variant of the coral. It would be filled with amfibious creatures, similar to turtles or dolphins that can swim, but still need to breathe. Possibly some creatures that eat the coral. The low risk of drowning would be balanced out by lack of recources, creatures that attack when you get too close, and possibly a hard to reach area. It could be located inside of a cave, the entrance of wich probably starting in the Grand Reef and moving to under the Safe Shallows, or the entrance being inside the Safe Shallows AND the Grand Reef, the entrance in the Safe Shallows explaining the presence of the Bubble Brain Coral.
I personally think the reapers above it would be fine. They're only found in 3 biomes of the entire game, including the dunes, so I feel like it would make sense.
Perhaps they could use crystals as a way to refract light. That way there's a source of sunlight for plants. I'd probably prefer for this biome to be at ~300m (the usual dune depth) so as to avoid serious teraphorming by the devs.

I would like to see something like this under an outer area of the dunes. That way, there can be bubbles that rise through the sand from below. Reapers above the caves can make it hard to reach.
What does Lifepod 5 have to do with this?
Sorry for bad english.
Because they could be changed in literally any way. Chances are the Precursors wanted human intelligence for some reason, and had no other viable test subjects (or perhaps they considered using Precursors themselves, but decided that since they had humans available...). Human memories of the current universe might be valuable for hunting more humans should they arrive.
The clicking refered to is shuttlebugs.
I appearently left this window open for a week or two but never submitted my reply.
What if the warpers are modified versions of the Degasi survivors? DNA splicing seems to be a specialty of the Precursors (the Seadragon) so I wouldn't put it past them. Just an idea though.
