It'd be interesting to hear your opinion on these, as I seem to have a much more negative perspective on the overall game from what I've seen on this Fandom so far. And please, don't get wild with things like skill trees, multiplayer or visiting other planets; let's limit it to the game's main convention

Good for you. Although I still don't understand why people are killing leviathans in this game, it's pretty boring, not rewarding and not challenging at all xD

But why? It'd make all the uncertainty disappear. I think any attempt to add any kind of damage dealing tool to the game without changing the core combat system and/or adding many, much more aggresive and durable species would really hurt the experience.

Prawn is definietly too powerful; I like overall concept, but the defenses cause you to never ever worry about anything again. You're never going to die anyways.
Cyclop noise mechanic doesn't make much sense to me in it's current state. I'd like all the agressive fauna to swim between biomes (with some kind of treshold of course) and more options like mods giving new functions to it at cost of greatly increasing the noise. It would urge the player to mind his actions when exploring even relatively peacful biomes.
Seamoth has a major flaw - you don't need it after getting Prawn. Like, at all. It's defenses comparing to Prawn are too week to explore more leviathan-inhibited biomes. Although I think it's great thing - In my opinion this ought to be the default state for the game; you're not supposed to just look and say: "Oh, look! A reaper leviathan. Anyway..." and that's what I was feeling once I got Prawn. The sense of anxiety and any kind of fear of dying just disappears and unfortunately does not come back even when you get to something like Dragon Leviathan. When I found him I just chilled, scanned him, got grabbed two times and still had more than enough health to escape; none of that I felt when seeing a little shade of Reaper Leviathan in early game with my Seamoth like 200 meters from my base; I was legitimately scared.

I've heard only bad opinions on the game's performance on PC and on PS4. Imo it's the game's biggest flaw. Travelling more than 300m kills the frame rate for until the area renders itself; stalkers and bigger species tend to spawn in front of the player; wrecks sometimes do not render and you can see floating scannable parts. Once I explored these and the wreck spawned on top of my seamoth, so I had to reload the game. I still lost my progress from the last half an hour. The Mushroom Forest takes like 30 seconds to fully render upon entering and the Aurora looks awful from closer than 50m. It's definietly one of the worst performing "Big" games I've ever played. I know it's not an AAA, but it was so long in development and so hyped by YT, that I was really expecting something accteptable.

I really wonder how is it going to perform on this console. Subnautica is one of the most poorly optimised games I've played on my basic PS4, so I'm curious if this is even going to work
