Pros:
-u won't be eaten by a ghost leviathan
-has entrance to ilz
-has alot of resources and the blue brine doesn't kill you
-not too far from lost river stuff
-looks REALLY COOL and is an interesting part of lore
-ghostrays will not kill you and look cool
-thermal vents for powerplants
Cons:
-A little too deep for seamoth (you can only really drive around the top of the cave unless you use prawn)
-idk what else
Speaking of unfortunane events, one time I accidentally exited without saving, and lost two hours of kyanite mining.
I'm not sure, but last time I tried to drop metal salvage in there, it didn't work.
I'm still here, not sure if I'm an elder though. (I won the event of life with the death disease)
Fun fact: you can stack multipurpose rooms to make a chunky room. Then, ladders can be used to make between floors, making a more efficient base. (You probably knew this but I just wanted to say this)

If you have a couple filters, chargers, etc., it will definitely help. They aren't that expensive, anyway.

Having the virus won't directly kill you, but it will make warpers hostile towards you, so it can kind of kill you. (gruesome death by warper)

POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING
If, like me, you LOVE the thermal plant but think it is WAY too annoying to place down, just use foundations (big flat square base thing). Just put a foundation over the vent, and put thermal plants on the foundation (which is over the thermal plant). BOOM now you have 4 perfect thermal plants on one foundation. Now, just use power transmitters to connect it to your base. (Idk if this is common knowledge, just thought I'd share)
