When i use it in a cave, it makes a disk with a green circle pointing up. If I shoot more disks, it spawns arrows pointing to the original disk. pls help

ooooohh so i have to put them when i enter a cave. i put them when i need to get out of a cave and i thought the orb will always point to the nearest exit (i didnt know it just points to the disk)

How would I confirm that it's a feature and not a bug? Also, I checked the entire section of the page that talks about junction and it doesn't say anything anywhere else.
this says that only lead, quartz, and titanium surround the brine but copper does too look at this screenshot

I made a base in the middle of the junction so i can easily access most of the biomes, but i looked on the wiki and theres no clear answer to which lost river entrance is closest to junction. does anyone know?
im pretty sure i have every plantable marine plant (i even found the sea crown after looking for hours there was a clump in the bulb zone) at all of my bases, i have lantern fruit at my cyclops, and i have bulbo, marblemelon, and chinese potato inside all of my bases
