The reactor doesn't affect you in any way (as far as i know i play on switch which seems to be different in every way possible) and no you cannot put cuddle fish back in containment once released into the wild. They do stay with a 15ish meter radius from the last time you gave it the stay put command.
Maybe if you shoot it with torpedos or a stasis rifle it might fall. Or try building to it. But i have no clue.
Well it matters what you play on. I am a switch player and i have never fought a ghost leviathan but i have fought and killed reapers. On switch they do respawn. Im not sure if its a bug in general but i hear they aren't supposed to respawn. It may just be a switch thing though i'm not sure.
