Natural substrate for manufacture of enameled glass: discovered. Construction of advanced submersibles and habitat modules is now possible.

― PDA, Dialogue

Enameled Glass is a material crafted using the Fabricator. It can only be crafted after the player has picked up a Stalker Tooth.

It is used for building high pressure-resistant windows which are used in the Cyclops & Prawn Suit cockpits, and the Observatory.

  • Presumably the recipe is in reference to dental enamel (crystalline calcium phosphate) from the teeth. Actual enameled glass uses vitreous enamel, a material made from powered glass, which is added to regular glass for decorative purposes.
