The Fern Palm is a likely bio-engineered, terrestrial flora species. It can be harvested for Fern Palm Seeds with a knife, but is purely decorative.
They can only be found in the Degasi Seabase on top of the Floating Island and are the rarest regrowable flora species in Subnautica.

The Fern Palm is a stump constantly growing in diameter with palm leaves and a blue cap at each point. They are normally found in three sections.

This specimen was first identified in an artificial growbed on the island. It is not listed in existing flora databases, so it is unclear whether or not it is native to this planet. Genetic code shares some features with other local plant life, but this may be the result of DNA transfusion rather than natural evolution. |

- The Data Entry for the Fern Palm suggests it was created from the DNA of various plants on the Floating Island, and not a natural plant. Bart Torgal, being a biologist, is almost certainly responsible for its creation, especially since it appears only at a location that he was present.
- The Fern Palm is currently the rarest regrowable plant ingame, even rarer than the Sea Crown.
