The Grub Basket is a terrestrial flora species only found on the Floating Island. It is only cosmetic and has no purpose in crafting. The seeds can however be used as fuel in the Bioreactor. Using a knife, the player can harvest Grub Basket Seeds from them.
Up to 6 seeds can be collected this way. Each hit with the knife yields a single seed, while the fifth hit will give two seeds and destroy the plant.
The seeds can be planted both in an Exterior Growbed (provided it's on land and not underwater), or an Indoor Growbed. It takes 600 seconds ( 10 minutes ) for a fully mature Grub Basket to grow from a seed.
Appearance[]
The Grub Basket consists of eight large fleshy orange leaves that are arranged in sets of four on two levels. The broad ends of each leaf are segmented into five smaller, rounded ends.
The Grub Basket's stalk has orange and brown stripes repeated from the bottom of the stem to the base of the leaves,with the bottom having the most defined stripes and the base of the leaves having faint stripes.

This may suggest a carnivorous lifecycle, wherein grubs and insects are attracted to the bright petals, make their way to the center of the plant, but are unable to scale back up the slick inner leaves and are ultimately digested. |
