You may (or may not) remember me from a long time ago, when I made pages on this wiki such as Colonial Headquarters and 4546B, but had them removed for being too 'trivial.' While I've migrated to other wiki projects on my alternate accounts, I've occasionally stopped by to check on the continuing development of Subnautica, and have deligtedly found out that now, even more in-universe 'story' lore is being written and comprised. Having fallen in love with Subnautica's errie and surreal beauty, I couldn't help myself wishing to continue expanding relative lore-based articles on this website. Being a Wookieepedian, (the Star Wars wiki) I have a near unhealthy obsession over every single piece of seemingly 'trivial' information, and take great pride in providing accurate, well-written and fleshed out article pages. While I understand that Subnautica is still in it's early development phase, and creating 'story' artciles and pages for in-universe factions such as the Alterra Corporation (who makes the in-game knife and etc... which would belong on its page and infobox if we ever decide to create one for a 'faction') would be premature, I cannot help but salivate at the potential lore-based writing spree I could embark upon. The strange delights of a writer. Oh my.
In other words, if, and when you'd like me to render my services to the expansion of this wiki, I would be most happy to oblige my editorial skills into improving this game's encyclopedic coverage. Since this is my secondary account, and not my primary, I will probably not see or be able to respond to your questions or request immediately, and might go for months without ever replying. Please take into note that I do not intend to offend or otherwise insult you or waste your time, but meerly preserve my sanity from logging into this account everyday, what with something called the real world (that I'm not very fond of) continually butting in and taking me away from this glowing screen called, a computer? I think?
So yes, if you ever would like my assistance again, please leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll see about it sometime in the future.
I see the maps on the wikia, and they're great, but I haven't been able to download them in a format large enough to use them. I can't even read the coordinates on the map axes. The "full-size view" says it's 2k x 2k but I can only see about 1k x 1k.
I think I'd need at least 2k x 2k pixes. I'd take 4k x 4k gladly. Is there a place I can find your maps in a large format? Or as, say, an Adobe Illustrator or other vector format? Thanks for the good work.
I was finally able to fix my computer's issues with Subnautica and I have updated the Mapping Subnautica to its current state now (I think). I have also increased the maps' size to 3554x3280px, which is scraping hard at the limit that Wikia allows (if I increased the size, Wikia would not be able to create thumbnails any more). Downloading the "full-size image" works just fine.
Hey, uh, just wondering why you undid all the page breaks I put in. You do realize that's making the images overlap ontop one another or run over the next subsection right? I mean, I went onto multiple browsers on my laptop and they all did this. Makes some/most of the recipes really hard to read. Some of the boxes are actually impossible to see because they're behind other ones (most notable in anything used in the Cyclops)
Not everyone has those problems. It displays just fine for me.
The problem, then, is that the template itself is flawed. Reprogramming it is the only way to fix it without inserting empty spaces to all pages. However, that can only be done by someone who knows how to create templates.
I've always got my zoom on normal (other levels bother me) and I don't have any extra style sheets enabled. I double checked my source code (for the webpage itself) and didn't see anything out of place that should effect it in this way.
I am trying to buy the version SPECIAL SUBNAUTICA the official website that sent you but not with you .. I have a STEAM version and want to buy the special for the HULL PLATE .. By purchasing this version I can this hull?
I collection of STEAM and SUBNAUTICA items and the only game that I still have not ..
Please answer as possible .. thank you for your attention.
Np mate 😁 Out from what the devs have hinted, maybe, however this time the hull plate are left out in that case. It was too much effort in costume make every single plate and the Steam client have some bugs that make it hard to update and overall work particularly good. And this hull plates are no tradeable. I know some youtubers got some extra redemption codes for there subscribers, but have no idea how that work. Sadly the special hull plate is no longer obtainable.
Thank you for your education .. I was sad to know .. not want to spend much money in the market steam ... you helped me a lot .. I hope you success in your work !! if you need help on something let me know. likes, favorites, etc .. would be glad to help .. great day friend. !! : D
i know this might not be the right place for this but the access at the Forum was blocked ( probably because of my Italian internet connection) ... So I'm sorry to bother you but I really wanted to ask if the team will add different types of spawning methods to creatures. Especially some trigger events like touching a special material or point of interest or reaching specific conditions in the game ( time, position, materials, story, game progress etc.). Although I found the "spawn at a specific zone" very interesting and most appropriate because of the suspense/anxiety that causes in the player and because of the biomes structure, i think that adding diffrent spawning methods for big creatures and monsters would be cool. An example might be the lava zone (or another dark and dangerous places as well) : if there will be a giant monster it is not spawned randomly/zoneTriggered like the Reaper/s at the Aurora, but with something more similar to the firebird of Fantasia 2000. https://vimeo.com/36277436 ( minute 3.00 )
Sorry for my english -_- and thanks for making this game ... it's awesome and original. I can't wait to see the final product.
I agree with Koosh, they were asking a question on a forum is that not the purpose of forums? Oh, and don’t swear they did nothing wrong. Also Doraz, if you want to spawn creatures in the do the the following: if your on Xbox the hold down these buttons at once, LB,RB and A. If your on Pc, (This ones a little complicated) press F3 and untick the little box after that, press Enter,~,ø or ö. Once done one of these type in spawn seadragon 1.
We’re reaching out to a few of our top communities, hoping to get you on board with the migration to the new infobox markup. And we have tools to help!
Why we’re doing this
Simply put: Most current infobox structure translates very poorly to mobile experiences, and indeed any device that doesn’t use desktop-style displays. On desktops and laptops, they often look amazing. The problem is that Wikia’s traffic is trending mobile.
We partnered with the Wikia community to create this new markup to make sure that your hard work can be displayed on mobile devices (as well as any future technologies) easily and without any new coding conventions. It’ll take some effort up front, to be sure, but we’re here to help, and the work you put in now will pay for itself tenfold in the future.
Tools we’ve designed to ease the process
We’ve enabled two new features on your community. One is a tool for migrating the “old” infobox code to the new markup. It identifies templates on your wikia that look like infobox templates and places a box on the right rail of the template page. When you click the “Generate draft markup” button in this box, it opens a new tab containing a draft of your infobox using the new markup.
The second is a new feature on Special:Insights that will highlight which infoboxes on your wikia have not been migrated to the new infobox markup. It’s fairly intuitive - you can click on the infobox title link itself to see the old markup, or simply click the “Convert!” button on the right, which performs the same action as the “Generate draft markup” button.
