Preston is an adolescent Snow Stalker that has been raised by Marguerit Maida. When and how Preston was tamed by Marguerit is unknown; Preston's Plant—named after the young Snow Stalker—may have been used in the taming process due to its sedative effect.
Preston is encountered twice, each time accompanying Marguerit. He is first encountered at Marguerit's seabase, and will jump on Robin upon her arrival. After being called off by Marguerit, he will follow her after she leaves and rest in front of the doorway, preventing further access. After the Communications Tower has been hijacked by Robin, Preston and Marguerit will be found at the latter's greenhouse, where they will stay for the rest of the game. With Preston gone, the rest of Marguerit's seabase can be explored.
Appearance[]
Preston appears as a fairly typical member of its species though small in stature, being roughly halfway between the size of a Snow Stalker Baby and a typical adult Snow Stalker. Whether this is due to Preston simply being young or an unusually small adult is unknown.

- The Alien Tablet that Preston chews on during the seabase cutscene is unused in the final game. In an earlier draft of the story, the tablet would have been used to open the Architect Phase Gate Facility.
