The Reinforced Dive Suit is a piece of Equipment that is crafted from heavily armored fibers. It cuts damage taken by 50%, increases heat resistance from 50°C (112°F) to 70°C (158°F), and deflects Tiger Plant spikes, but reduces swim speed by 0.95 m/s. It is crafted using the Fabricator.

In order to craft this item, the player must locate a data box containing its blueprint.

The Reinforced Dive Suit consists of two items: the Reinforced Dive Suit and the Reinforced Gloves. Both items are added to the inventory when the suit is crafted. Each item must be placed in the body and gloves slot of the PDA, respectively, for them to take full effect. Wearing one item will partially give the effects. When not worn, each item takes up four spaces (2×2) in the inventory.

The suit's protection from heat up to 70° is still not enough to fully protect the player from getting close to lava in the Inactive Lava Zone and Lava Lakes, where the temperatures can go to upwards of 90°.
