The Vortex Torpedo is a consumable, non-lethal ammunition that is used in conjunction with the Prawn Suit Torpedo Arm. It is placed into the Torpedo Arm of the Prawn Suit.
The Vortex Torpedo's payload is a small whirlpool that causes creatures to be pulled in and unable to move freely. This can be used to immobilize aggressive creatures such as Squidsharks, Brute Sharks, or even Leviathans like the Chelicerate, decreasing the player's chance of getting attacked.
When fired, the Vortex Torpedo will lock on to nearby creatures. If there is a Leviathan nearby, it will automatically lock onto it regardless of other nearby creatures.

The blueprint for this item is acquired by unlocking the Prawn Suit Torpedo Arm.
